    Version in force

    What changed

Added: terms for training and job-placement ads.

    Compare with the previous version

    Ads we acceptChanged

Ads we accept Ads from businesses and professionals for products and services that fit the page's topic. They must be true, show clearly who is advertising and respect people who may be going through hard times. We review every ad and the page it leads to before we publish it.[added: We accept ads from training providers and job-placement offices only if they hold the licence the law requires (e.g. a lifelong-learning centre licence). If the programme is subsidised or certified, the ad says who funds or certifies it.]

    Ads we do not acceptChanged

Ads we do not accept • Loans and credit, banks, loan advisers or brokers. • Insurance. • Electricity and natural gas supply. • Debt buying or debt «settlement», «debt removal» services, pawnshops and gold buying. • Gambling, betting and lotteries. • Tobacco, e-cigarettes and alcohol. • Medicines, medical services and treatments, food supplements and products with health claims. • Infant formula. • Crypto-assets, high-risk investments, «quick money» promises and pyramid schemes. • Political advertising: parties, candidates, elected officials, messages about elections, referendums or laws. • Ads by public bodies. We publish their programmes for free, as information, with the official source. • Services that «apply for you» with your codes or promise approval. • Weapons, adult content, fortune-telling and astrology. • Anything that imitates a public body, gov.gr or ΚΕΠ, or claims an approval it does not have.[added: • For training and jobs: ads that promise a job, hiring or a set income; that say or suggest a programme is needed to get or keep a benefit; or that say «free», «subsidised» or «certified» when it is not true.]

    Advertising policy

myepidoma.gr is free for everyone. Its costs are covered by advertising from businesses. This page explains where ads appear, how to recognise them and which ones we accept.

    Where ads appear

    • Only on benefit pages, in a separate box, after the benefit's amounts and dates. • At most one ad per page. • Never inside the check, its results or the application steps. • Never on pages about health, disability, poverty, bereavement, disasters or debt.

    How to recognise them

Every ad says «Advertisement» and gives the name of the business advertising. Underneath, a note says it is shown because of the page's topic and is not an endorsement by any public body or by us.

    How ads are chosen

    • Only by the page's topic, and for local benefits by the benefit's municipality or region. • Never by your answers, your check result, or information about your health, finances or personal situation. • Every visitor to a page sees the same ad. • Ads use no cookies and do not track you. We count only how many times each ad was shown and clicked. • We give advertisers no information about you. • If you click an ad, you go to the advertiser's website, where its own terms and privacy policy apply.

What an ad does not mean

    • It is not a recommendation or an endorsement, by a public body or by us. • It does not change what we write about benefits, the check results, their order or notifications. • Benefits are granted only by the competent body, and you apply there, usually for free. You do not need to buy anything from an advertiser to get a benefit, unless the programme is about a purchase (e.g. an e-bike subsidy); even then, the programme's own conditions apply.

    If an ad looks wrong

    • Misleading, illegal or a possible scam: tell us through the «Report illegal content» form, with the page address and what worried you. A person reviews every report. If needed, we stop the ad at once. We do not give your details to the advertiser. • Anything else: use the contact form. • Warning: no benefit ever requires you to give a business your TAXISnet or e-banking codes or card details to «release» it. If someone asks, it is a scam.
