DYPA special programme hiring 1,500 unemployed people aged 57+ in the public health sector
18-month full-time jobs in Ministry of Health bodies and public hospitals for registered unemployed people aged 57-74 who completed an earlier 55+ programme in health, so they can complete the insurance years needed for a pension.
For the host body: 75% of monthly wage and non-wage costs, up to €750 a month, for 18 months. The person works full time.

What it is
The programme helps unemployed people aged 57 and over complete the insurance years they need for a pension. Ministry of Health bodies and public hospitals employ them full time for 18 months, and DYPA subsidises the employer.
Beneficiaries are unemployed people aged 57 to 67, and over 67 up to 74, registered in DYPA's digital register, who: - completed a placement in a Ministry of Health body or public hospital through the programme for unemployed people aged 55+ (joint decision 28286/450/2017) or the special programme for 1,300 unemployed 55+ in health (joint decision 27332/2024); - have not completed the insurance time for a full pension and have not applied for an old-age pension; - are Greek citizens, citizens of an EU member state (with a Greek-language certificate) or ethnic Greeks as defined in the call.
Public call 8/2026 was published on 30.3.2026 and re-announced on 7.7.2026; the programme is open.
Re-opening: from 07.07.2026, 13:00, health bodies can apply again for the places that were not filled.
