What it is
"Proergasia" is a DYPA programme to prepare 25,000 unemployed people aged 18-29 for the labour market. Participants work in a private business 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 7 months. DYPA pays them every month an amount equal to the legal minimum wage, with full social-insurance contributions, plus a share of the holiday bonuses and leave allowance; they have full health cover with e-EFKA.
It is for unemployed people aged 18-29 (up to and including age 29) registered in DYPA's digital register, who have completed at least compulsory education and neither work nor take part in education or training from the referral until the agreement is signed. The unemployed person does not apply: businesses apply and DYPA employment counsellors put candidates forward.
The national cycle (Public Call 9/2024) took business applications from 07/06/2024 to 06/12/2024. DYPA has also run regional cycles with their own calls (e.g. the Evros regional unit, for ages 18-30, closed on 06/10/2025). No new cycle has been announced.
