How to apply
The steps to apply yourself. Free: you don’t need to pay anyone.
Required Documents
Usually the details gov.gr already holds about you are enough.
Step by step
- 1
Check that you meet the requirements
This DYPA programme is for unemployed people aged 30 and over, who have completed at least secondary education and are registered in DYPA's digital unemployment register. Placements are with private businesses and last 6 months.
Open the page - 2
You do not apply yourself — inform your advisor
The business submits the application online, not you. What depends on you is keeping your unemployment card active and speaking with your DYPA employment advisor at your local office (KPA2), so that they keep you in mind when putting candidates forward to participating businesses.
- 3
Mention it if you belong to a priority group
Priority is given to the long-term unemployed with 24 or more months of registered unemployment, to unemployed women, to people affected by or at risk of poverty, and to those aged 45-64. Say so explicitly to your advisor if any of these apply to you.
- 4
If you are put forward, you sign a 6-month agreement
If a business selects you, you sign a 6-month agreement, working 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. You need to be a registered unemployed person both when you are put forward and when you sign.
- 5
See what pay and insurance the programme provides
The programme provides net compensation of €704 per month (€32 a day for 22 days), paid directly by DYPA and not by the business. For the duration of the programme you are covered by e-EFKA for healthcare and occupational risk.
- 6
After the 6 months end
The programme does not guarantee a job. If the business does not keep you on, you remain registered as unemployed with DYPA and can express interest again in future calls for the programme.
