DYPA hiring subsidy for 2,000 unemployed people aged 18+ in the East Macedonia and Thrace region
DYPA subsidises, for 12 months, private businesses in East Macedonia and Thrace that hire registered unemployed people aged 18+ from the region. The unemployed person does not apply; a DYPA job counsellor puts them forward.
For the employer, 12 months: de minimis 70% of wage and non-wage costs up to €875 a month, or GBER 50% capped at €875 a month.

Register with DYPA and contact your job counsellor
The unemployed person does not apply. Make sure you are registered in DYPA's digital register at an office in the region; job counsellors put forward candidates to businesses according to each job's requirements.

What it is
DYPA subsidises private businesses and employers active in the East Macedonia and Thrace Region to create 2,000 new full-time jobs. Beneficiaries are unemployed people aged 18 and over registered in DYPA's digital register at the region's offices.
The unemployed person does not apply: the business applies online on gov.gr, states the jobs and requirements, and DYPA job counsellors put forward candidates.
The subsidy lasts 12 months: under the de minimis scheme 70% of wage and non-wage costs, up to €875 a month; under the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER) 50%, up to €875 a month. GBER hires are disadvantaged people (e.g. no regular paid job in the last 6 months, aged 18-24, no upper-secondary education, over 50) or severely disadvantaged people. Applications opened on 13.3.2026 and the programme is open.
