DYPA special employment programmes for unemployed former LARKO employees
Full-time jobs in municipalities, regions, hospitals, health centres and other public bodies for former LARKO employees who were dismissed and are registered as unemployed with DYPA. DYPA pays gross wages of EUR 1,250 a month, for up to 7 years (over 55) or for 12 + 12 months and a further 24 months (up to 54).

Make sure your unemployment card is valid
You need to be on DYPA's digital register with a valid unemployment card, both at referral and at hiring.

In the application / statement of preference you pick 1 to 3 host bodies from DYPA's list of jobs.

Referral and hiring
Your DYPA employment counsellor refers you to a host body with a referral note. You hand in the documents in person, and the body hires you within 20 days.

What it is
DYPA places dismissed former employees of LARKO (the state mining and metallurgy company) in full-time jobs and pays their wages and social-insurance contributions. There are two programmes: - Over 55 (born up to 31/12/1970): jobs in municipalities and regions (Central Greece, Attica, Western Macedonia), for up to 7 years. You must not have earned a full old-age pension right. - Up to 54 (born from 1/1/1971): jobs in hospitals and health centres, DYPA, e-EFKA, regions, forest services, university services and the geological survey (EAGME), for 12 months with a possible 12-month extension. Since August 2026 the employment continues for a further 24 months, in the same jobs.
Gross monthly wages are EUR 1,250 from Government Gazette B 5256/25.08.2026 (EUR 1,210 before). The programme is open: DYPA employment counsellors refer unemployed people to the host bodies. To be placed you need a valid unemployment card both at referral and at hiring.
It is only for people whose contract with LARKO ended by 12/5/2024, who hold the special administrator's certificate as former LARKO employees and who were registered as unemployed with DYPA when the call was published (11/6/2024). It is separate from the one-off emergency financial aid for former LARKO employees.
