Tuition Discounts and Waivers at the Municipal Conservatories of Thessaloniki (2026-2027)
For 2026-2027 the Municipal Conservatories of Thessaloniki give 10% to 50% discounts and free tuition in some categories: single-parent, three-child and large families, students with disabilities, university students, unemployed people, children of unemployed parents and others, with income limits per category.

Ask for the discount at enrolment
When you enrol at the Municipal Conservatories, ask for the discount or waiver and bring the documents for your category (for example a certificate of studies, a family-status certificate, the income tax statement, a disability decision or an unemployment card).

What it is
With decision 427/21-09-2026 the Thessaloniki Municipal Council set the 2026-2027 fees of the Municipal Conservatories and the discounts and waivers: - 10% for paying the yearly fee in one go at enrolment. - 10% for university students, with a certificate of studies. - 10% for two dependent children enrolled at the same time. - Second instrument 10%, third instrument 15%. - 15% for children of single-parent families, with income up to €30,000. - 30% for three-child families (3 dependent children), with income up to €40,000. - 50% for each dependent member of families with 4 or 5 children, with income up to €50,000. - Free tuition for families with 6 or more children, whatever their age, with income up to €60,000. - 100% for students with a disability of 67% or more; 50% for a disability below 67%. - Free tuition for children living in institutions, if places are free. - 50% for students with two unemployed parents, with income up to €10,000; 30% with one unemployed parent, with income up to €14,000. - 30% for unemployed adults, with income up to €12,000. - Parent with a disability: 50% for 67% or more, free for 80% or more, with income up to €30,000.
The decision also says the total reduction, for any one case or combination of cases, cannot exceed 50% per student, except for a scholarship. For the free-tuition cases, confirm with the conservatories' office.
Base fees 2026-2027: Propaideia A €20 one-off, Propaideia B €360, Preparatory A/B €612, Lower €648, Middle €960, Higher €1,212, Music Technology €756 a year. Enrolment costs €20 and is deducted from the fee. The decision sets no residence condition.
