Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE)
EU exchange programme: new or aspiring entrepreneurs spend 1 to 6 months working with an experienced entrepreneur in another country and receive a monthly grant towards travel and living costs. You apply through a local contact point in Greece.
Monthly amount of €600 to €1,200, depending on the host country (amounts since June 2024; e.g. Cyprus €850, Germany €900, Spain €900, France €950, Italy €1,000); €1,200 a month for entrepreneurs with disabilities, whatever the country. Paid only for the time spent abroad (up to 6 months).

What it is
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a European Commission programme (Single Market Programme). People who firmly plan to start a business based on a viable business plan, or who have less than 3 years of entrepreneurial experience, spend 1 to 6 months with an experienced entrepreneur in another programme country and learn first-hand how a business is run. The stay can be split into several periods completed within 12 months. The EU pays a monthly amount towards travel and living costs, depending on the host country; if it is not enough, you cover the rest yourself. You must be over 18 and a permanent resident of a programme country (Greece takes part). New entrepreneurs can take part only once. Applications are open all year, online, through a local contact point in your country of residence.
