What it is
EYDAP's (Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company) Special Emergency Tariff (EET) is for people entitled to the benefits of Law 4389/2016, such as recipients of the Guaranteed Minimum Income (formerly KEA, Social Solidarity Income). It gives a 100% discount on the value of water for 2 m³ a month per household member (3 m³ a month for each member with a disability of more than 67%, with a valid KEPA disability certificate), starting from the 1st band of the General Tariff, as well as an exemption from the fixed water and sewerage charges. It applies to the main residence (owned or rented) and also to people who live permanently in a home provided free of charge or as guests, if this is shown on the E1 tax return form. People who live as guests or in a home provided free of charge apply only at an EYDAP regional centre. Everyone else applies online through EYDAP's "My Account" (MyAccount) service with your tax number (AFM) and social security number (AMKA); a successfully registered request counts as approval. Application period: no fixed deadline.
