Unemployment card
Make sure your DYPA unemployment card is valid on the day you apply and on the day of the first counselling session.

What it is
An action of the «Just Development Transition 2021-2027» programme run by the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce (operation «Actions to promote employment for the unemployed through counselling, training, work placement and skills certification in the Region of Crete», inclusion decision ADA 6ΜΚΚ46ΜΤΛΡ-9ΒΣ). It is for 500 unemployed people in the Heraklion regional unit.
It includes 10 individual career counselling sessions, 300 hours of theoretical training, 150 hours of work placement (on-the-job training or case studies) and certification exams, with a focus on green and blue economy skills. It can also be followed remotely. Taking part in every part is compulsory.
The training allowance is €5 for every hour attended, up to €2,250. When you successfully complete the counselling, training and placement and take the exams you get up to 70%; the remaining 30% when you are certified. Absences of up to 10% of the hours are allowed; if you do not complete the hours, you get no allowance.
Applications have been made online since 18/6/2024 and are assessed in cycles with points for the length of unemployment and for personal or family income; income gives points, it does not exclude. The call stays open until the places are filled; the last assessment cycle (the ninth) was completed in July 2026 and the operation ends on 31/12/2026, so few places are left.
