What it is
The Municipality of Zitsa manages the «Stefanos Vakalis bequest», which under the will supports needy pupils. With decision 509/2025 (12/12/2025) the Municipal Committee approved a call for the years 2021 to 2025: €12,500 in total (€2,500 per year), up to €500 per beneficiary per year.
Who can apply: pupils registered in the municipal rolls of the Protopappas community (Zitsa municipal unit) who are needy or on a low income. A parent or guardian applies, one application per family.
Documents for each year: application, the parent's or guardian's ID card, family-status certificate, copy of the bank account, school attendance certificate, certificate of need from the Municipality's Social Policy Department, and a signed consent to the use of personal data.
Deadline: 45 calendar days from the day after the call is published on the Municipality's website and in a national newspaper. Applications go to the Revenue and Property Department of the Municipality of Zitsa (tel. 26533 60022). Rejected applicants may object within 10 days.
