Applications are made every September, at the start of the school year. The "Gefyra" regional offices in Lamia, Amfissa, Karpenisi, Livadeia and Chalkida give information.

What it is
The Region of Central Greece, through the "Gefyra" office of its Regional Development Fund and with sponsorship from ION S.A., gives for the tenth year school supplies worth EUR 170 through a shopping voucher to every pupil enrolling in 1st grade at a primary school in the Region.
It is for parents or guardians living in Central Greece with family income below the ELSTAT poverty line: EUR 7,020 a year for a one-person household, plus 50% for the spouse and each child aged 14 to 24 and 30% for each child under 14. This year the line was raised by EUR 2,000. Beneficiaries are ranked by points until the budget runs out.
The 2026-2027 school-year cycle took applications from 11 to 27 September 2026 and has closed. The next cycle has not been announced yet.
