What it is
By decision (ADA ΨΗΛΕ7ΛΕ-Η37) of 12/9/2025, the Region of the Ionian Islands set up a grant of €4,000 per student, in 8 monthly instalments of €500, for 20 first-year undergraduate students of the 2025-2026 academic year (8 Corfu-Paxoi, 4 Lefkada, 4 Kefalonia-Ithaca, 4 Zakynthos), from families with income below the poverty line. Requirements: permanent and main residence in the Region of the Ionian Islands; first enrolment as a first-year undergraduate student in 2025-2026 at a university (AEI), an Ecclesiastical Academy or a School of Fine Arts (Military and Police Schools, Merchant Marine Academies (AEN), the Fire Academy and the Hellenic Open University (EAP) are excluded); completion of secondary education at a school in the Ionian Islands; born between 1/1/2004 and 31/12/2007 (aged 18 to 21); 2024 family income below the ELSTAT (Hellenic Statistical Authority) poverty line (€6,510 for one person, €13,671 for a family of four); for male students, not serving military service in 2025-2026. Students admitted to an institution based in their place of residence are excluded. Selection was based on per-capita family income and the order in which applications were registered. Applications closed on 10/10/2025 (14:00); the instalments are paid from November 2025 to June 2026. No new round has been announced.
