Cash reward for top upper-secondary graduates admitted to higher education (Municipality of Thira)
Every year the Municipality of Thira gives 500 EUR to each final-year upper-secondary pupil registered in the municipality who graduated with excellence (school-leaving grade) and entered higher education through the Panhellenic exams. The list of recipients comes from the schools.

What it is
The Municipality of Thira gives a 500 EUR cash reward to each final-year pupil of upper-secondary school (general lyceum and vocational EPAL) registered in the Municipality of Thira who meets two criteria: graduated with excellence, based on the school-leaving grade, and entered higher education through the Panhellenic exams of the same year. The recipients come from the official lists of the schools and are approved by a Municipal Council decision. Latest cycles: 17 pupils of school year 2023-2024 (Municipal Council decision 109/2025, June 2025) and 42 pupils of school year 2024-2025 (decision 162/2026, July 2026). The next cycle has not been announced yet.
