Aid for growing Chios mastic (Small Aegean Islands programme)
A yearly payment of €11.50 per kilo of "clean mastic" for growers of mastic trees in the mastic villages of Chios who are members of a cooperative of the Chios Mastic Growers Association. Apply to the Association by 31 May and declare it in the Single Aid Application.

What it is
Measure 0303 of the Support Programme for the Small Aegean Islands. Farmers can apply if they grow mastic trees on the island of Chios, are registered in one of the primary cooperatives of the Chios Mastic Growers Association (ΕΜΧ) and deliver "clean mastic" every year.
The trees must be in the 24 mastic villages (Ag. Georgios, Armolia, Vavyloi, Vessa, Vouno, Elata, Exo Didyma, Tholopotami, Thymiana, Kalamoti, Kallimasia, Katarraktis, Koini, Lithi, Mesa Didyma, Mesta, Myrmigki, Nenita, Neochori, Olympoi, Pagida, Patrika, Pyrgi, Flatsia), be productive and have been tended and harvested. At most 250 grams of clean mastic per tree are supported.
Amount: €11.50 per kilo of clean mastic (ministerial decision of 2017, as in force).
How to apply: submit the application to the ΕΜΧ by 31 May of the Single Aid Application year and fill in the special small-islands field of the Single Aid Application (for 2026 by 16 October 2026). The applications are checked by the Directorate of Agricultural Economy and Veterinary Services (ΔΑΟΚ) of the Chios regional unit and AADE makes the payment.
