What it is
Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) is the basic payment of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023-2027. It is paid every year per hectare of eligible agricultural land to active farmers. The amount depends on the agricultural region (arable land, orchards, pasture) and averages around 200-250 euros/hectare. Main conditions: an Integrated Administration and Control System declaration (OSDE, ΟΣΔΕ), compliance with conditionality (good agricultural and environmental condition standards - GAEC), and being an active farmer. The application is submitted every year with the Single Aid Application in the AADE myAGRO application (for 2026 by 16 October 2026).
