Official evidence · as above, and παρ.

What it is

Who: staff of public-sector bodies (the State, public-law entities, municipalities and regions, private-law entities they own or fund by at least 50%, land-reclamation boards, companies covered by Law 4972/2022), lawyers on a salaried mandate with those bodies, elected municipal and regional officials who can receive a monthly allowance, and members of Independent Authorities and governing bodies paid monthly (not those paid only for attending meetings). The bill makes no distinction between permanent staff and staff on indefinite or fixed-term contracts. It does not cover pensioners.

The amount is gross: the allowance is subject to employee and employer social insurance contributions and counts towards the pension. It does not count towards pay caps.

If the payment day is a holiday, the allowance is paid on the previous working day. The first payment covers the period 1/12/2026 to 30/11/2027.

The terms may change until the law is published in the Government Gazette (ΦΕΚ); this page will be updated.
