Ask your EPAL about enrolment
The Apprenticeship Class is organised by the EPAL schools by specialty. Ask the EPAL you graduated from (or the Directorate of Secondary Education) when enrolment takes place and which specialties are offered.
Good to know
- Sign in to gov.gr with your TAXISnet codes. You sign in ONLY through the official government page. Never enter your codes anywhere else.
- Fill in and submit the application. Enter your details, upload anything requested and submit. Keep the protocol number.
- Track your application. Progress and the final decision appear in your account on the authority / gov.gr.

What it is
The post-secondary year – Apprenticeship Class (Law 4763/2020) is an optional year after graduating from an EPAL (vocational upper-secondary school), for initial vocational training and better entry into the labour market. It combines a workshop course at the EPAL school workshops or Workshop Centres with a learning programme at a workplace: a public body, a private person or a business offering an apprenticeship place.
The apprentice signs an apprenticeship contract with the employer, is insured and receives 95% of the unskilled worker's daily wage. The programme runs nationwide under the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, funded by the «Human Resources and Social Cohesion 2021-2027» Programme; for the school year 2026-2027 the operation started on 1/10/2026.
The 2026-2027 cycle has already started. The enrolment dates for the next cycle have not been announced; ask your EPAL.
