The amount is paid straight into the beneficiary's bank account; for 2025 the payment deadline was 15 October 2025.

What it is
Action MK2-55.3-1 (Greek: ΜΚ2-55.3-1) of the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan 2023-2027. It pays a yearly flat-rate amount for every eligible hive that is moved.
Who can apply: active beekeepers with at least 110 hives and an active beekeeping activity code (honey or bee-colony production) or special-scheme farmer code, who: - are professional farmers whose family farm output is worth at least €5,000 gross, or - filed an IACS (OSDE) declaration, joined the young-farmer scheme or registered as new entrants to farming for the first time in the last 24 months, or - are pensioners whose family farm output is worth at least €5,000 gross. Legal entities registered in the Farmers' Register with farm output of at least €8,000 can also take part.
Condition: every year you move at least 40% of your hives, at least 50 km on the mainland, Crete and Evia, or at least 20 km on the other islands.
Amount: for financial year 2025, €5.02 for every eligible hive moved. The amount rises by 50% if in the previous year you produced and sold at least 5 kg of honey per hive, and by 50% if you send digital photos of the hives with a GPS location through the dedicated app.
Application: online through GOV.gr, by 30 May each year, with the supporting documents and the transport receipts. The Beekeeping Centres can help. AADE, which took over the duties of the former OPEKEPE, makes the payment.
