Digital DYPA Card (unemployment card): where to find it and how to renew it every 3 months

The unemployment card is now digital: the Digital DYPA Card goes into the Gov.gr Wallet of people registered in the DYPA Digital Register and shows their benefits. It is valid for 3 months and you renew it online or at a ΚΕΠ from 20 days before it expires.

What it is

Since 9/1/2023 the paper unemployment card has been abolished. It was replaced by the Digital DYPA Card in the Gov.gr Wallet, for job seekers registered in the DYPA (formerly OAED) Digital Register. The card is updated every day from the Register, and whoever scans it sees which benefits, allowances, aids or facilities you are entitled to. You install the Gov.gr Wallet app from wallet.gov.gr.

The unemployment card (δελτίο ανεργίας) is valid for 3 months from registration or the last renewal. You renew it from 20 days before it expires up to the expiry day, online only (DYPA e-services or gov.gr with TAXISnet codes) or at a ΚΕΠ; not at DYPA offices. If you do not renew it in time, it stops being valid (you can object to the DYPA office you belong to).

With the card you show that you are unemployed for benefits such as free or reduced travel, museum entry, social tourism and discounts from municipalities and businesses; each benefit has its own entry with its own conditions.
