DYPA subsidises, for 12 months, private businesses that hire registered unemployed residents of Western Macedonia, Megalopoli and neighbouring municipalities, and small islands. The business applies; the unemployed person is put forward by a DYPA job counsellor.

Social Tutoring Programmes of Municipalities and Regions (free lessons for pupils)
Municipalities and regions run a Social Tutoring programme every school year: supplementary lessons for pupils, mostly at lower and upper secondary school. In Elliniko-Argyroupoli and Notia Kynouria there is no financial criterion; in Thesprotia, Salamina and Trikala the lessons are for children of low-income families, with an application once a year.

East Mani water utility: social water tariff, first 50 cubic metres free for single parents, older people and people with disabilities, a low price for large families
The East Mani water utility does not charge the first 50 cubic metres of water per four months to single-parent families, people aged 70+ and households with a person with a disability of 67% or more, within an income limit, and charges large families €0.49 per cubic metre up to 80 cubic metres.

The Municipality of West Mani exempts from the fixed water charge of the first home needy people, people with disabilities, large and three-child families, single-parent families and GMI recipients, with total family income up to €24,000.
