What it is
Intervention Π3-70-1.6 "Support for additional agri-environment commitments by beekeepers to protect bee colonies and strengthen biodiversity" of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027. Beekeepers can be beneficiaries, as individuals, legal entities or groups of them.
The 1st call covered Action 1, the conversion of bee colonies to organic, with a 6-year commitment from 30 June 2024. The colonies had to be declared in the 2024 Single Aid Application and in the National Electronic Beekeeping Register, the holding had to have at least 20 colonies and the beekeeper a contract with a control and certification body. Those in the organic beekeeping actions of Measure 11 were excluded.
Obligations: you keep the number of enrolled colonies, follow the organic production rules for the whole commitment and file a payment request every year with the Single Aid Application.
Applications ran from 23 May to 2 June 2025. Those enrolled are paid every year; no new call has been announced.
