What it is
For the 2026-2027 academic year the Ionian University Department of Music Studies offers up to three (3) scholarships for its undergraduate students, funded by a private donation (donation agreement of 04.06.2026). Each scholarship equals 50% of the gross basic wage in force on 1 January of each year and is paid for 10 months a year (September to June), for the normal length of studies (10 semesters), and may continue up to 12 semesters in total. Active full-time undergraduates of the Department may apply. Selection follows this order: A) graduates of a Lyceum in Zakynthos or Ithaca; B) graduates of a Lyceum elsewhere who are registered in the municipal rolls of the Municipality of Zakynthos or of Ithaca; C) graduates of a Lyceum elsewhere with at least one parent registered in those rolls; D) only if there are no candidates from Zakynthos or Ithaca, graduates of a Lyceum in Kefalonia or people registered (themselves or a parent) in the rolls of a Kefalonia municipality. Among eligible candidates, those with the lowest per-capita family income come first; family real estate (E9) and any parental holdings in public limited companies are also considered. Scholarship holders must not receive another scholarship, must keep their student status and pass at least 50% of each year's ECTS. Applications with all documents are e-mailed to protocol@ionio.gr, copied to the Department's secretariat (music@ionio.gr), from 15/9/2026 to 9/10/2026 inclusive.
