What it is
The «Tertiary Education Internship» action of the «Human Resources and Social Cohesion» Programme (ESPA 2021-2027) funds internship places for university students in public or private organisations, for the academic years 2024-25 to 2026-27. The student gets a monthly payment of €350 for an internship of more than 20 hours a week, or €175 for 20 hours a week, including social insurance contributions; it is paid by the institution's Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE).
Places are limited per department and students are selected by the department's criteria, provided they meet the study programme's internship requirements. Applications are made to each institution's Internship Office, through calls issued before each period (e.g. August-September for the winter semester). The duration is set by the study programme (usually 2-6 months).
