Ergazakis Public-Benefit Foundation Scholarships for Top Students with Roots in Heraklion, Pediada or Lasithi (2026-2027)
Eight scholarships of €300 a month (10 months a year, for the normal length of studies) for university students on low income with a Lyceum diploma graded «άριστα» (excellent) and paternal or maternal roots in the city of Heraklion or the former Pediada and Lasithi districts. What it is
Offer of a private public-benefit foundation — not a state benefit. The public-benefit foundation "Georgios and Eftychia Ergazakis Foundation" (Heraklion, Crete) grants eight (8) scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year to low-income Lyceum graduates with top grades, to continue their studies at a Greek university. The scholarship is €300 a month for ten months a year (not July and August), from September 2026 until the end of the normal length of studies. Conditions: Greek citizenship or origin; age up to 36; paternal or maternal origin from the former Pediada district (Heraklion), the former Lasithi district (Lasithi) or the city of Heraklion; Lyceum diploma graded «άριστα» (excellent); annual family and personal income together up to €25,000, increased by 15% per dependent member (not counting the candidate) only for students studying away from home; no other family member already holding a Foundation scholarship. Admitted candidates sit an essay exam (28-30 December 2026); a grade of at least 14 out of 20 is needed and the ranking follows the grade. Documents are submitted by 30/11/2026 to the Foundation's office in Heraklion, by post (email, courier), in person or through an authorised person.
