The Municipality of Chalki (Dodecanese) fully exempts from all service charges, including water, the needy and people with a disability above 67% with household income up to €6,000, and gives 50% off for disability with income €6,000-12,000 and large families with income up to €20,000.

What it is
The Municipality of Chalki keeps for 2026 its special pricing for social groups on all service charges, including water and sewerage (Municipal Council decision 83/2025):
- Full exemption: the needy and people with a disability above 67% with household income up to €6,000.
- 50% off: people with a disability above 67% with household income from €6,000 to €12,000.
- 50% off: large families (including a parent without a spouse with three children, whom the law treats as a large family) with annual household income up to €20,000.
You prove your status with the documents the law sets. The decision applies for 2026 and will be reviewed in November 2026.
