What it is

The Eordaia water utility amended its reduced tariff for people with disabilities (board decision 165/2025, approved by the Eordaia Municipal Committee):

  • Who: people with a disability above 67%, permanent (lifelong) or temporary.
  • Discount: 50% off the water value and the water and sewerage charges.
  • Income: if the person with a disability files their own tax return, only their individual income counts, up to €25,000. If they do not and appear as a dependant or hosted person, the household income of the person hosting them counts, up to €35,000 plus €2,000 for each dependant.

The discount goes to the water supply where the person with a disability permanently lives, whether the bill is in their name or in the name of the relative or guardian hosting them. You need a KEPA certificate, the E1, a family-status certificate and a recent water bill. Every year you bring the new E1 and the tax assessment and, for a disability that is not lifelong, a new KEPA certificate 10 days before the previous one expires.
