Kilkis water utility (DEYAK): social water tariff for people with disabilities, low-income, three-child and large families
The Kilkis water utility cuts the water bill of the main home by 50% for people with disabilities and low-income people holding a «vulnerable debtor certificate», and by 40% to 70% for families with 3 or more dependent children.

What it is
The Kilkis municipal water and sewerage utility (DEYAK) applies a social tariff in its 2025-2029 tariff policy (board decision 13-180/2024, approved by the Kilkis Municipal Committee with decision 335/2024):
- People with disabilities and low-income people: 50% off the bill for the first 25 cubic metres of water a month. A «vulnerable debtor certificate» from gov.gr is required.
- Families with 3 dependent children: 40% off the first 20 cubic metres a month; with 4 children: 50% off the first 25; with 5 or more: 70% off the first 35. The discount lasts while the children are dependants.
The discount covers only the main home (owned or rented) and, for people with disabilities and low-income people, only a bill in your own name. Each person joins one group only. It runs from the day of the application to 31 December and is renewed every year with new documents.
