Apply to the Social Protection Department
Once the 2027 decision is posted, apply with the documents for your group (e.g. family status or large-family certificate, tax assessment, disability decision) to the Social Protection Department of the Municipality of Kilkis. The cut applies to the property of your first permanent home.

What it is
With its decisions on the 2027 municipal fees (Kilkis municipal council, 16/10/2026), the Municipality of Kilkis:
- cuts the cleaning and lighting fees by 80% for large and three-child families with taxable income up to €30,000;
- fully exempts people with an 80% disability from the service charges;
- keeps the 5% fee cut for all households and businesses.
In 2026 the cut for three-child families was 50%, and properties where people with a disability of 80% or more live were exempt from the municipal fees. The Social Protection Department collected the documents for the special cuts, and the cut applied to the property of the first permanent home.
The 2027 decision with the details (which income counts, who counts as a three-child or large family, documents, deadline) has not been posted yet.
