The Paionia water utility gives 90% off to large families with 7 or more children and to needy Minimum Income recipients, 70% to families with 5 to 7 children, 50% to large families, disability, low pensioners, the long-term unemployed and the needy, and 30% to three-child families, for the first 340 cubic metres a year.

What it is
The Paionia water utility applies a special tariff for vulnerable groups in its 2025-2029 tariff policy, as amended in 2025 (utility board decision approved by the Paionia Municipal Council):
- 90%: large families with 7 or more children and needy recipients of the Minimum Guaranteed Income.
- 70%: large families with 5 to 7 children.
- 50%: large families, people with disabilities, low pensioners, the long-term unemployed and the needy.
- 30%: three-child families.
Terms per group:
- Large families: at least 4 dependent children up to 18 (or 24 if studying) and income under €45,000.
- Disability of 67% or more (you or a dependant): individual income under €20,000 and household income under €35,000.
- The needy and low pensioners: an AADE vulnerable-debtor certificate on income grounds.
- Minimum Income recipients: the award certificate.
- Three-child families: 3 children up to 18 (or 24 if studying) and household income under €30,000.
The discounts do not add up, apply to one supply at the main home and to the first 340 cubic metres a year (85 a quarter). The documents are renewed every tax year. You must have no unpaid bills to the utility.
