What it is
Through its social action «From the first day by their side», the Municipality of Peristeri supports new mothers of single-parent families and of families that meet the municipality's social criteria. It provides baby equipment and essentials for newborns (cots, prams, baby clothes, blankets, milk, nappies, baby bottles, dummies, sterilisers, creams), handed out over the child's first months. The action continues in 2026 (a distribution on 2 October 2026) and is funded by private companies' sponsorship. The social criteria and how families are admitted are not published: ask the municipality's Social Service or Community Centre in Peristeri.
