Aliartos-Thespies: free water up to 200 m³ for low-income large, three-child, disabled and single-parent households, 50% off for EEE recipients and the unemployed
The Municipality of Aliartos-Thespies exempts large, three-child and disabled-member households with income below €15,000 and single parents below €10,000 from water use up to 200 m³, halves the charge for EEE recipients and the long-term unemployed, and exempts the needy up to 100 m³.

What it is
The Aliartos-Thespies Municipal Council decided not to change the water fees for 2026, with the Vulnerable Groups Special Tariff of Annex I:
- Large families and three-child families with yearly income below €15,000: full exemption from the use charge up to 200 cubic metres.
- Families with members with a disability over 67% and yearly income below €15,000: full exemption up to 200 cubic metres.
- Single-parent families with yearly income below €10,000: full exemption up to 200 cubic metres.
- Recipients of the Social Solidarity Income (now the Minimum Guaranteed Income): 50% off up to 200 cubic metres.
- The long-term unemployed (unemployed for more than 12 months, with taxable family income up to €5,000 plus €2,000 for each child; if married, both must be unemployed): 50% off up to 100 cubic metres.
- The needy, with supporting evidence: full exemption up to 100 cubic metres.
The special tariff covers large families with four minor children or with large-family status (including a parent without a spouse with three children), three-child families with three minor children, single-parent families with minor children (the Annex's detailed definition also counts unmarried children up to 23, or up to 25 if studying or serving) and people with a disability of 67% or more (themselves or their minor children). The standing charge stays and use above the exempt amounts is billed at the general tariffs. You apply with valid documents for your group.
