What it is
The Municipality of Metsovo set its 2026 water charges (Municipal Council decision 83/2025). Under the water regulation (decision 373/2011) these groups get 30% off the water charge for one household meter:
- Large families (including a parent without a spouse with three children, whom the law treats as a large family) supporting minor children, with presumed household income up to €10,000 plus €3,000 for each minor child.
- War disabled and war victims (or the spouse of a war victim), with presumed household income up to €10,000.
- People with a disability of 67% or more (yourself or family members living with you), with presumed household income up to €10,000. People with a total disability (e.g. tetraplegia, paraplegia, total blindness) qualify whatever their income.
- The unemployed with an unemployment card, with the meter in their name, residents only.
