For 2026 the Municipality of Xiromero gives 50% off the water standing charge (€20 per four months) to single-parent families with minor children, people with a disability of 80% or more with income below €20,000 and large families with income below €22,000.

What it is
With its decision on the 2026 water fee (48/2026), the Xiromero Municipal Council created a special tariff with 50% off the standing charge (the single standing charge is €20 per supply per four months) for:
- single-parent families with minor children;
- people with a disability of 80% or more with yearly income below €20,000;
- large families (including a parent without a spouse with three children, whom the law treats as a large family) with yearly income below €22,000, raised by €2,000 for each child beyond four.
The discount is not backdated and applies after approval by the competent municipal service. Documents: family-status certificate, tax assessment, KEPA disability certification, certificate of no municipal debts and an updated large-family card.
