Apply at the DETIP offices
Apply at the DETIP offices (Ethnikis Antistaseos 11, Ptolemaida) with the decision approving your Guaranteed Minimum Income, within the deadline DETIP announces. For 2026-27 the announcement has not been issued yet (11/10/2026); last year it came out on 10/10/2025 and the deadline was extended to 31/12/2025.

What it is
The Municipal District Heating Company of Ptolemaida – Municipality of Eordaia (DETIP) applies a discount every winter on the cost of district heating consumption for low-income customers. From the 2025-2026 season (Board decision 127/2025) and for the 2026-2027 season (Board decision 115/2026 of 15/09/2026), those eligible are active DETIP customers who have an approved application for the Guaranteed Minimum Income (EEE, formerly KEA) in force for the last six months; the earlier income criterion (up to €5,000) no longer applies. The 2026-2027 period runs from October 2026 to May 2027 inclusive. The average annual cost credited per flat is €350.00 including VAT; any consumption beyond €350 is paid by the customer. DETIP's D.O.D.Y. department collects the applications and draws up the list of beneficiaries, and the Board approves it; DETIP will publish an announcement on the procedure for the 2026-2027 season (in the 2025-2026 season the application deadline was extended to 31/12/2025).
