Step by step

   Make sure the foster placement is officially registered

   You must have been designated a foster parent by a court decision, a foster care agreement or a prosecutor's order, and the placement must be registered in the National Registry of Approved Minor Foster Placements. Without that registration the application cannot proceed. The support is granted by OPEKA.

   Prepare your details and the child's details

   You will need the foster registration details, the child's ID details and AMKA, the IBAN of an account you hold, and — if the child has a condition involving disability — the KEPA certification, so that the amount is calculated correctly.

   Apply on anynet.gr with your Taxisnet credentials

   The application is submitted exclusively online, through the "Management of Foster Care Financial Support Applications" system. Fill in all mandatory fields — an incomplete application cannot be finally submitted. Keep the application number.

   After approval, payment is made monthly

   If the application is approved, OPEKA pays the support on the last working day of each month into the IBAN you declared. Payment continues for as long as the foster placement lasts, with no need to reapply each year. Notify the service immediately if anything changes in the placement, in the child's health status, or in your bank account.

• Sign in to gov.gr with your TAXISnet codes. You sign in ONLY through the official government page. Never enter your codes anywhere else.
• Fill in and submit the application. Enter your details, upload anything requested and submit. Keep the protocol number.
• Track your application. Progress and the final decision appear in your account on the authority / gov.gr.
