Two Months' Rent Refund for Teachers, Doctors and Nurses Serving in the Regions (Article 70A)

You rent your main or second home outside the Region of Attica (the Attica island municipalities are covered) and outside the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki. It concerns teachers (permanent or substitute, and special education teaching and support staff, EEP/EBP) of public schools, and medical, nursing and other health staff of General Government bodies (ESY national health system, primary health care, TOMY local health units, EKAB ambulance service, etc.), serving within the same regional unit as the rented home. It is calculated and paid automatically on the basis of your tax return and the IBAN you have declared in myAADE — no application is required. It is a permanent measure, paid automatically each year by the end of November.

The first payment, for 2024 rents, was made on 25/9/2026. The next one, for 2025 rents, has been announced for 30/11/2026. If you meet the criteria but were not paid because the regional unit where you serve was missing or wrong in the records, or because the landlord did not have to file the lease electronically, you can file a correction request with your documents in myAADE («Τα Αιτήματά μου», My Requests) by 20 October 2026 and at the latest by 31 December 2026.
