What it is
HERON Energy’s Yellow Free Student is for new and existing customers who themselves, or whose child, study at a public or private higher-education (university or technological) institution in Greece and hold a valid student ID. The household supply must be in the regional unit where the school operates.
It is a variable tariff:
- standing charge €0 a month;
- base supply charge €0.0840/kWh, plus a monthly market-cost adjustment (the final charge is calculated at the end of each month);
- after 9 months on the plan, 5% of the monthly consumption is free (equal to a 5% discount on the base charge: €0.0798/kWh);
- a €20 sign-up gift on the first bill, if you have not received a similar sign-up gift from HERON in the last 6 months.
Prices exclude VAT and regulated charges. HERON says the plan has no contract lock-in (the special terms set an initial 12-month term that renews automatically). No deposit is asked if you set up a standing payment order.
