What it is
An offer of a private public-benefit foundation — not a state benefit. The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation announces, by public call, scholarships for master's-level postgraduate studies for final-year students or graduates of universities in Greece and abroad who excelled in their undergraduate studies. Each call names the field; for 2026-2027 it was «Engineering and Computer Sciences», with up to 10 scholarships. Applicants need an upper-secondary school-leaving certificate from Greece, a degree grade of at least 8/10 (or the equivalent for foreign universities), a first full-time, in-person master's lasting 9 to 24 months in a European country (the UK included), and parents who permanently live somewhere other than the place of study. Assessment weighs performance, the programme and university, financial situation and social criteria, and may include an interview. The scholarship was €9,000 to €24,000 in Greece and €16,875 to €45,000 abroad, depending on duration (9 to 24 months); the Foundation may grant part of the amount. The 2026-2027 cycle is closed (applications until 27/2/2026, results in July 2026). The next cycle has not been announced yet.
