Technical University of Crete bequest scholarships for students from Sfakia and Selino (Papadopetrou, Baklatzis) and sponsored graduate prizes

Bequest scholarships (apply after a call): - "Iosif Papadopetrou" bequest: 2 scholarships of EUR 4,000 (10 months × EUR 400) for undergraduate students of the Technical University of Crete whose family comes from Sfakia (themselves, a parent or a grandparent, born in the Municipality of Sfakia) and who live in a municipality of the Chania regional unit. Candidates who were born there themselves come first; ties are settled by a public draw. - "Aristeidis Baklatzis" bequest: one scholarship of EUR 3,506.40 (10 months × EUR 350.64) per academic year, for undergraduate students of the Technical University of Crete or the National Technical University of Athens whose family comes from the villages of Moni, Sougia, Livadas, Koustogerako or Rodovani (former Municipality of Kambanos, Selino, Chania). Students in years 1 to 4 must have passed at least 85% of the previous year's courses; graduates who finished in 5 years may also apply, and come first. For both: Greek citizenship or Greek origin, age up to 36 at the end of the academic year of the scholarship, no more than the standard 5 years of study and no other university degree. The scholarships cover an academic year that has already ended: the call of 28/4/2026 covered 2024-2025 (Papadopetrou) and 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 (Baklatzis), with applications until 19/6/2026. The next call has not been announced yet.

Research scholarships: 5 scholarships of USD 3,000 from the Pancretan Bequest of the Pancretan Association of America, one per School, for postgraduate students in their first semesters, based on a research proposal judged by a committee of professors.

Sponsored graduate prizes (no application, every academic year): MOVIAK Excellence Prize EUR 1,000 (graduate of the School of Production Engineering and Management from Chania with the highest diploma grade); "Manolis Mathioudakis" Performance Prize EUR 1,000 (graduate of the School of Mineral Resources Engineering with the highest average in the mathematics-track courses); PolyGreen scholarship EUR 1,500 (graduate of the postgraduate programme of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering with the highest average); "Thodoris Loverdos" scholarships of Act-TLO: a few months of paid work for selected graduates of the School of Production Engineering and Management with a thesis on "Marketing and Energy Management".
