What it is
With its decision on the water and sewerage fees for 2026 onwards (25/2026), the Dirfys-Messapia Municipal Council sets a reduced tariff:
- Water: three-child and large families, kidney patients and people with a disability of 67% or more pay 50% of the use tariffs; other charges (standing charge etc.) are not reduced.
- Sewerage: large families, kidney patients and people with a disability of 67% or more pay 50% of the household fees; other charges are not reduced.
The reduction follows Municipal Council decision 144/2016, which says the income and property criteria of the current joint ministerial decision under law 4320/2015 are also taken into account. Ask the municipality which limits apply and which documents are needed.
