What it is
Since 1/1/2015 the Municipality of Amfipoli has cut by 50% the water and sewerage fees (Municipal Council decision 322/2014), for:
- needy people, with a certificate of poverty from the welfare service;
- people with a disability of 67% or more, with a health-committee decision;
- large families, with a family-status certificate and an ASPE certificate; a parent without a spouse with three children (Law 3454/2006) and a widowed mother with three children (Law 860/1979) also count as large families.
The reduction covers only the water meter of the main home. You apply to the Revenue Department with the documents and the E1 form of the last tax year; the Municipal Council approves the applications (e.g. decision 48/2026).
