What it is
The Lasithi Plateau municipality keeps its 2026 water charges unchanged (Municipal Council decision 113/2025) and reduces the use charge (not the standing charge or other fees):
- Three-child families: 20%, with household income up to €20,000 and the children living with you.
- Large families: 30%, with household income up to €20,000.
- People with a permanent disability of 67% or more: 40%, with individual income up to €12,000, for the main home and not for businesses.
- Needy residents on the municipal roll who live permanently in the municipality and are registered in the Social Service's solidarity programmes: 50%, after a Social Service opinion and a council decision.
The reduction covers one home only, the main one, which must be owned, given free of charge or rented (not hosted).
