Topeiros: 10% to 20% off water for people with disabilities, large, three-child and single-parent families
For 2026 the Municipality of Topeiros cuts home drinking-water charges by 20% for a disability of 80% or more, 10% for 67-80%, 20% for large and single-parent families and 15% for three-child families, within an income limit.

What it is
The Municipality of Topeiros approved its 2026 water charges (Municipal Council decision 109/2025) with reductions for household water use:
- 20% for registered citizens, or family members they support, with a disability of 80% or more;
- 10% for registered citizens, or family members they support, with a disability from 67% to 80%;
- 20% for large families;
- 20% for single-parent families;
- 15% for three-child families.
Income limits: for people with a disability of 67% or more (on the same family register) a household income below €20,000; for large, three-child and single-parent families below €25,000, plus €3,000 for each extra child.
Your home must be supplied by the municipal network and you must have no unpaid balances with the Municipality (settle them before you apply). The reduction runs from the day of the application to 31/12/2026; for the next year a new application is needed between 1/1 and 30/4.
