What it is
By council decision 6/2026 on the 2026 water and sewerage charges (with no change to the current tariff policy), the Municipality of Spetses keeps cuts for vulnerable groups:
- needy people and the long-term unemployed: 100% off the fixed charges and the 1st band;
- people with a disability of 80% or more: 100% off the fixed charges, the 1st and the 2nd band;
- people with a disability from 67% to 80%: 75% off the fixed charges, the 1st and the 2nd band;
- single-parent families: 50% off the fixed charges, the 1st and the 2nd band;
- three-child and large families: 50% off the fixed charges and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd band.
The household tariff bands are 1-10, 11-20 and 21-30 m³ (€3.00, €4.00 and €4.50 per m³ with VAT) and the fixed charges €4 and €8 (desalination) a month. Conditions: you are a permanent resident of the Municipality of Spetses with at least two years of continuous residence (mayor's certificate); the cut applies to the family's first main home of up to 150 m² (ENFIA statement) and from the date of the application with the documents for your group.
