What it is

Individuals with a loan or credit agreement in Swiss francs, performing or restructured and performing, that has not been settled under Law 3869/2010, could convert it to euro on favourable terms. First they request a ranking certificate on gov.gr with their Taxisnet credentials: the platform checks the income, asset and deposit limits and places the borrower in one of four categories. The conversion rate is improved by 50% (Category 1), 30% (Category 2), 20% (Category 3) or 15% (other borrowers), with a fixed interest rate of 2.30%, 2.50%, 2.70% or 2.90% respectively, and the term can be extended by up to 5 years (not beyond age 80). The application for the certificate with a conversion request had to be filed by 30 September 2026 (article 101 of Law 5313/2026); no further extension has been granted.
