NTUA bequest scholarships for students (ABS, Nikolaos I. Kritikos and others)

Every academic year the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), through its Student Welfare Department, awards scholarships from bequests and donations to its students. Scholars are chosen by performance, usually within one School, and the final approval is given by the Decentralised Administration of Attica after a Senate decision. Examples: the 2026-2027 «ABS Scholarships» for the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering give 2,140 EUR to each of 4 undergraduates (the best results of years 1 to 4), 4,280 EUR to each of 2 postgraduates of the MSc in Naval and Marine Technology and 8,560 EUR to 1 PhD candidate of the School; candidates must be Greek citizens or citizens of other states of Greek origin, with a grade of at least «Very Good», up to 36 years old by the end of the academic year, and must not receive another scholarship for the same reason. The «Nikolaos I. Kritikos» scholarship for 2024-2025 went to 47 students of several Schools (13.22 to 277.77 EUR each, 2,499.64 EUR in total) on the proposal of the Mathematics Sector's scholarship committee. The «In Memory of the Benefactors from Metsovo» scholarship goes to one student a year. No application is needed for ABS: the School secretariat sends the details of eligible students and the Student Welfare Department asks them for the documents.
