"Samos Supports Its Students" scholarships — Dept. of Information & Communication Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean

The Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean (Karlovasi, Samos) runs the "Samos Supports Its Students" scholarship programme, funded by donations from a municipality, companies and individuals, to support new students living on the island. Scholarships of up to €10,000 go to the top-ranked successful candidates of the Panhellenic exams in the General Lyceum (GEL, ΓΕΛ) 90% category admitted to the Department with more than 15,000 points. Selection follows the admission ranking only, with no financial or social criterion; if resources do not cover everyone, those with the most points come first. The money is paid in yearly instalments for the minimum length of studies (5 years), provided that each year you have passed courses worth at least 45 ECTS by the September exams and have an average of at least 7 in the previous year's courses. The scholarship does not affect other scholarships or free housing and meals. It is subject to available resources and may be changed by decision of the Department Assembly. Scholarship holders per year: 1 (2021-2022), 3 (2022-2023), 2 (2023-2024), 3 (2024-2025), 2 (2025-2026). For information contact the Department secretariat.
