Chania free athletic preparation for military academy and sports-science entry tests (2026–2027)
The Municipality of Chania offers free training with PE teachers, daily 14:00–16:00 at the Chania National Stadium, for Lykeio year-3 pupils and graduates taking the athletic tests for military academies and sports-science schools (SEFAA). Training starts on 19/10/2026 and runs until June 2027.
Subsidised monthly Chania city-bus pass for Technical University of Crete and HMU (Chania) students («spoudaZO sta Chania»)
Active students of the Technical University of Crete and of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) in Chania buy the Chania city-bus (Astiko KTEL) monthly student unlimited pass for €19 instead of €45. The Municipality of Chania and the Region of Crete pay the €26 difference.

People with disabilities, large families (4+ children), families with 3 children, single-parent families, registered unemployed people, recipients of the Guaranteed Minimum Income and owners of sheepdogs can have their dog or cat identified (microchipped), registered, neutered and vaccinated free of charge through their municipality.
