Naousa EUR 1,000 birth grant for low-income families
The Municipality of Naousa pays EUR 1,000 each year for every child born in the previous year, to families living permanently in the municipality, with at least one parent on its roll and family income up to EUR 16,000, +EUR 3,000 for each child the family already had. The round for 2025 births is complete; the next one has not been announced.

What it is
By council decision 36/2026 (31/03/2026) the Municipality of Naousa approved a EUR 1,000 cash grant for every child born from 1/1/2025 to 31/12/2025 to low-income families. The credit is entered in the municipal budget every year; payment of the 2025 round was approved in October 2026.
Conditions (all): at least one parent is on the Naousa municipal roll; the family lives permanently in the municipality in the year of birth and the year of application; total family income (taxed, exempt and separately taxed) does not exceed EUR 16,000 for a family with its first child, plus EUR 3,000 for each child born earlier. Unemployment benefit and family allowances do not count as income.
Applications go to the municipal Registry within the period of the municipality's announcement; a five-member committee checks them. The amount and terms may change by a new decision.
